The University at Stony Brook is located on the north shore of Long Island, New York approximately 50 miles east of Manhattan. The clubs were founded in Spring 1981. See the history for more information. April 2006 is the 25th anniversary of the club . Both the Men's and Women's Rugby currently compete in the Metropolitan Rugby Union in Division 3.
